Carolyn had been born and raised in Iowa and her first trip outside the state was to enroll in college in New York city. Her roommate was a typical NY snob, yet had nice streak. After hearing Carolyn say she was from Iowa her roommate was quick to point out "that's all very nice, but here in the east we pronounce it Ohio."
Four elderly ladies were driving in a car. One of the ladies in the car, Rosa, had a heavy hispanic accent. "As we drove thru the industrial area, Rosa said, 'Hey, that's where they make the Huge Measles!' We all looked at each other, confused, for a moment before we realized we were going past the 'Hughes Missle' plant."
Famed Anthropologist Mary Leakey died at the age of 83. Leakey was buried near her home, where she will rest in peace, until some nosy anthropologist digs her up. - Norm MacDonald
