A convict broke out of jail in Washington D.C., then a few
         days later accompanied his girlfriend to her trial for
         robbery. At lunch, he went out for a sandwich. She needed to
         see him, and thus had him paged.  Police officers recognized
         his name and arrested him as he returned to the courthouse
         in a car he had stolen over the lunch hour.

Sylvester Briddell, Jr., 26, was killed in February in
Selbyville, Del., as he won a bet with friends who said
he would not put a revolver loaded with four bullets into
his mouth and pull the trigger. 

In The Oregonian, a Meier and Frank department store
advertisement for women's bras and panties reads:

     The perfect gift for that special woman in your life,
     or great to keep for yourself.
